Dr. Celeste` Lynn DVM
Celesté Lynn is one of Prosser Animal Hospital’s two full time veterinarians. She has been with us since 2009. Dr. Lynn supports Prosser Animal Hospital in the diagnosis and prevention of infectious disease, internal medicine, anesthesia and surgery, radiology, and dentistry. Dr. Lynn is licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Washington and has also sought additional licensure to offer health certificates for the transport of animals. Dr Lynn continually seeks continuing education opportunities through her memberships in the American Veterinary Medical Association and Washington State Veterinary Medical Association, as well as the online Veterinary Information Network and others.
Dr. Lynn graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to medical school, she earned her Bachelor’s of Zoological Science from Washington State University.
A Little More About Dr. Celesté Lynn:
Dr. Lynn knew she wanted to be a veterinarian since she was four years old, living on her family’s hobby farm outside the city limits of Moses Lake, Washington. She grew up with sage brush, cheat grass, all kinds of pets and livestock, and loved every minute of it! She moved to Prosser shortly after graduation firstly because the staff at Prosser Animal Hospital impressed her not only with their competence and love for animals, but also with their congeniality and cohesiveness as a team. She loves Prosser’s small town atmosphere, quiet neighborhoods, and warm weather.
Dr. Lynn is married to a geologist, with whom she loves to cook, go backpacking, berry-picking, and camping. Dr. Lynn is also an avid reader, so if you have any great suggestions for hiking trails or good literature, be careful not to mention it in an exam room, because she may become very distracted!
Dr. Lynn and her husband have two loveable, friendly female dogs, both of which were born in the summer of 2009. Atlas is an ultra-intelligent, emotional, hyper Border Collie cross who is still trying to master the difficult art of combining cuddling and wiggling. Atlas is quite independent, yet loyal and eager to please; she loves to run, jump, and explore. Atlas was named after the book Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand. Vega is an easy-going, ALWAYS happy, fearless German Shorthair/Labrador cross. Vega’s favorite things include breakfast, toys, licking people, getting wet, dinner, and running. Vega’s name means “spirited,” but may soon mean “always hungry.”
